Sade: We Want New Music!! Please.

Sade, we miss you, and we want new music. Please.

As Sade celebrates her 58th birthday we’re reminded of what an inspiration and soulful blessing she has been in our lives.

I looked through so many throwback videos of her many performances this weekend, and as different photos filled my social media feed, I began to REALLY miss her presence in music.

It was something about her raw, natural, talent and beauty that helped me adapt my sense of pride.

It mostly came from the small resemblance in her facial features. I grew up thinking my head was huge and unattractive; that all went out the window the first time I was introduced to Miss Sade Adu.

When I was about ten years old, I searched through my mom’s CDs and among the many gems I came across Sade’s greatest hits. I saw the most beautiful woman, and as I listened, I heard such an amazing voice to match. Thank God for that moment.

As rumors of a tour and possible new album are underway, we can’t do anything but speak it into existence and keep our fingers crossed.

I think we all need her back and that was reflected through the many people paying homage.

She has left a soulful mark in the lives of many people who grew up in the 80s-90s era.

With dynamic songs like:”Is It A Crime,” “Jezebel,” “Pearls,” “Your Love Is King,” Kiss of Life,” and “Sweetest Taboo” (the list goes on) they will forever be classics.

Here’s the best of Sade:

Is It A Crime

“This may come, this may come as some surprise

but I miss you

I could see through, all of your lies

But still I miss you…”

Watch Sade sing Kiss of Life live in 1993

And again in 2011

Here’s her most recent song released n 2011 “Baby father”

Her soulful voice hasn’t changed a bit; she could still blow us away with a new album in 2017.

I know people who would give almost anything to see her, so fingers crossed (for at least tour dates).

Happy Birthday Queen!!

Here’s a special Happy Birthday message from her son posted to his Facebook:

“To my Queen. Words cannot describe how lucky I am to have you in my life and call you Mumma, you are my whole world and I love you with all my heart, thank you for being you, the most beautiful person inside and out, happy birthday Mumma Shard”
